An evening at the seaside !

Sunday 16th July and off we went to the beach. Nine photographers and three models to try and master the varying light and weather conditions at a typically English beach. The the three girls absolutely excelled themselves with an amazing variety of outfits with not a single bikini in sight. We arrived at the appointed time of somewhere near 5 o'clock in order to take advantage of the golden hour light and hopefully avoid the rain !

Long flowing dresses, fantastic headwear and the look of an arabian dessert, and that was just the photographers ! no, not really, we extend our thanks to our models, Abi, Cherry and Heidi who went above a beyond to give these nine photographers something very special to work with. After the initial chat and banter mainly concerning the admiration of the parking skills in such a limited space, we ventured onto the beach where the full beauty of the scene to be photographed became apparent, we had the beach to ourselves, with the slight exception of the four very nice ladies who had just arrived for their afternoon swim. We ventured just a bit forther down the beach and got to work cameras, flash guns, and reflectors miraculously appeared while our photographers got to work, each group of three photographers under the watchful eye of one of our mentors who were there to give help and advise in all things technical.

After 2 hours of photographing, posing dancing and getting very wet we headed back to the cars to head for home, but not before stopping for a sumtuous meal at McDonalds. The results from this workshop have been truly remarkable which is so gratifying that, as well as having a very pleasant and fun filled evening, the photographers picked up some very useful advice, all they have to do now is go home and sit in front of their computer editing a huge amount of photographs, I think Wendy Beckham deserves a special mention for managing to fill a complete SD card with 1500 images !

Finally the good news is that due to many requests we intend to hold a further beach workshop on 3rd September with the emphasis on movement,we will have more of our fantastic models and photographers will get the chance to photograph some ballet on the beach, go to our "comimg workshops" page and book quickly, its going to sell out fast !

We will be adding more workshops on a regular basis as we are now planning our "indoor" programme for the months until the end of the year and we have some exciting plans !
